Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Storybook Entertainment collects when you inquire about or book a celebration, how we use it, and who else sees it. It applies to this website and to the inquiries you send us through it.

Information you give us

Our inquiry form asks for the details we need in order to quote your event and reply to you properly:

• Your name, email address, phone number, and how you prefer to be contacted.
• The date, start time, guest count, and city for your event.
• The experience, theme, characters, and enhancements you are considering.
• Anything you tell us in the notes field.
• For a Luxury Birthday, the guest of honor's first name and age. Both are optional, and they are used only so that our reply is personal to your child.

You may also reach us by phone, text, or email. Whatever you send us that way is held the same way as a form submission.

Information collected automatically

Our host records standard technical information when a page is served, including the IP address the request came from. We use your IP address briefly to limit repeated submissions to the inquiry form, which is how we keep it from being flooded.

We also measure page views so we can see which pages are useful. Details are in the next section.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set cookies, and it does not track you across other sites. There is no advertising network on this site and no cross-site identifier.

For traffic measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It counts page views and reports them to us in aggregate. It does not build a profile of you and it does not follow you off this website.

We do not use Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. Because nothing we run stores an identifier on your device, this site shows no cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before any such tracking begins.

How we use your information

• To answer your inquiry and talk through what you have in mind.
• To prepare a proposal and, if you go ahead, to produce your event.
• To stay in touch about a booking that is already in progress.
• To keep our own business and tax records.
• To protect the site from spam and abuse.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

A small number of service providers handle your information on our behalf so that the site and our booking process work. They may use it only for that purpose:

• Vercel, which hosts this website and provides the analytics described above.
• Zapier and HoneyBook, which receive your inquiry and hold it as our client record.
• FormSubmit, which delivers messages sent through our contact form, and alerts us if an inquiry fails to reach our booking system.

We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or where we need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim.

Children's information

This website is written for the adults who plan events, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Where our form asks for a guest of honor's first name and age, we are asking the adult making the inquiry, and both fields are optional.

If you believe a child has sent us information directly, please contact us and we will remove it.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and booking records for as long as we need them to serve you, to honor repeat and annual bookings, and to meet our accounting obligations. When a record is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it.

Your choices

You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond. If you no longer want to hear from us, tell us and we will stop.

Security

We limit access to your information to the people and services that need it, and our site is served over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
