Holidays

Santa, the Easter Bunny, Halloween characters, and Uncle Sam: four seasons of work, cast and produced with theatrical care.

Holidays — Storybook Entertainment

Our holiday work runs the length of the year, not just December. We cast Santa and his ensemble in December, the Easter Bunny in spring, Halloween characters through October, and Uncle Sam for the patriotic dates in between. Each engagement is priced by character, date, and curtain time.

December is the busiest month and the one that takes the most direction. Santa arrives with a real beard, and rarely arrives alone. We cast as many as ten Elves, the Jingle Belles Trio for the singing, Mrs. Claus, the Candy Cane Girl, the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who, Buddy the Elf, and the Gingerbread Boy and Girl. A living room needs one of them. A hotel lobby on a Friday evening needs an ensemble, so no corner of the room goes quiet while one child is on Santa's knee.

December gets decided long before December. Returning clients start holding dates at the beginning of summer, and the largest engagements often are not confirmed until the middle of October. If a particular date and a particular character matter to you, raise them in the summer.

The Storybook calendar moves with the seasons. Fall brings festivals and Halloween, from charming witches for younger guests to more dramatic, atmospheric performers after dark. Spring welcomes the Easter Bunny to private celebrations and large-scale brand events, including Raising Cane’s. Summer is intentionally more selective, centered on patriotic appearances, polished greeters, and performers who know how to command a crowd with warmth, presence, and a little theatrical flair.
