Storybook Entertainment is a theatrical production house producing character celebrations, confection catering, and custom décor across the Valley, including Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Tempe. Part 01
Planning & Booking
How does the inquiry work?
Begin Your Story is a short, four-step inquiry: choose a Signature Experience, add any enhancements, share the details of your date, and tell us how to reach you. It takes about two minutes, and we follow up to talk through your celebration.
How early should we book?
As early as your date is set. Scheduling grows tight once a celebration falls inside four weeks, so the sooner you reach out, the more of the calendar and the casting remain open to you. Begin Your Story and we will talk through availability with you.
How quickly will we hear back?
Within one business day. Whether your inquiry arrives through the form or by phone, we reply promptly so we can begin building the scope of your celebration together.
Can we talk it through by phone instead?
Of course. Call or text us at (480) 254-3994 and we will talk your celebration through, from the first idea to the shape of the production. If you prefer, the four-step inquiry at Begin Your Story takes about two minutes.
Is gratuity expected?
Gratuity is already included, so there is nothing to calculate on the day. It is carried on the service portion of your celebration: the performers and the on-site hosts who arrive and run the room. It is not carried on products such as balloons or confections. Our cast is looked after before the first guest arrives.
Part 02
The Signature Experiences
What are the Signature Experiences?
Storybook produces five Signature Experiences: Luxury Birthdays, Corporate & Social, Holidays, Confection Catering, and Décor & Balloon Work. Each is cast, directed, and produced by one team, so the performers, the confections, and the décor read as one production, not a list of bookings.
Do you serve corporate events?
We do. Our Corporate & Social experience produces brand activations and refined grown-up gatherings with the discipline of the theater: a produced concept, in-character performers and on-site hosts, confection stations, and atmospheric staging. We handle setup, staffing, and breakdown ourselves, so your team spends the evening with your guests.
What confections do you offer?
Confection Catering turns dessert into a centerpiece. We produce cotton candy bars, candy walls, popcorn bars, and curated dessert moments, each styled to your theme. The cotton candy bar is attended for its full service window, with one of our team spinning every serving to order; the other stations are stocked and kept by us through the event. Setup, service, and breakdown are ours to manage.
Can we combine experiences?
Most celebrations do. Décor is often produced alongside performers and confection stations as part of a single celebration, and the second step of the inquiry lets you add enhancements to whichever Signature Experience you begin with. We bring the pieces together so the whole celebration reads as one production.
Do you produce holiday events?
Yes. Our seasonal characters, from Santa to the Easter Bunny, are cast for authenticity and directed for the moment, whether the occasion is an intimate gathering or a marquee community event. We manage the atmosphere from arrival to farewell, with full setup and breakdown.

Service Area & Travel
Which areas of the Valley do you serve?
We produce celebrations across the Valley, from Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and Arcadia through Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and the West Valley, and out to Cave Creek and Desert Ridge. Wherever your celebration takes place, the production arrives as one piece: performers, confections, and décor together.
Will you travel for an event?
We work from one service area, measured from our Scottsdale base: roughly thirty miles, about an hour’s drive, which covers the Valley. Travel is included in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia, and Desert Ridge; everywhere else within that reach adds $20 per performer or host. If your celebration sits farther out, call us and we will talk through your date.
Do you work in private homes as well as venues?
Both. We produce celebrations at private residences and venues alike, shaping the installation, the staging, and the performance to the space you have chosen. Tell us the setting in your inquiry, and the scope takes shape around it.

The Production House
Who is the Artistic Director?
Sara Bernstein, our Founder and Artistic Director, holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Production and Direction from Northwestern University. She has directed musicals across the Phoenix metro for more than a decade, served five years as Education Manager at Arizona Theatre Company, and is a multiple-time Arizoni Award winner. Every Storybook production carries that training.
Are your photographs real?
They are. Every photograph of our celebrations comes from Storybook’s own archive of events we have produced; none of it is stock and none of it is generated. What you see is what we stage.
What do your clients say?
Hosts most often mention the same three things: that our performers hold character for the whole visit, that we arrive on time and prepared, and that the children talk about the day for years afterward. Several families book us year after year, one of them for more than eight.
Can we see examples of your work?
Yes. Our full visual portfolio and the archive of celebrations we have produced are both drawn entirely from our own work, with no stock photography anywhere in them.
Has Storybook been featured in the press?
Parents Magazine named Storybook in a print feature in 2020, Real Simple mentioned us the same year, and the Arizona Republic marked our tenth anniversary with a feature in 2024.
